3. On the computer, a window will appear allowing you to select the option to view files on the tablet. After clicking “Open device to view files”, a new window will open showing the tablet as a storage device and how much free space it has left. Double click this tablet icon.

This window can be opened by typing “Computer” in your Start Menu and picking the corresponding option, which will open a window that looks like the below image. Double-click the “Galaxy Tab” icon.

Filling Out Forms on the Tablet

Before you begin filling out a form, you will need to make a copy of the form to preserve the original template on the device. Once this is done you can open the copied document and make the necessary edits without changing the original template. Edits you can make to a document include inputting regular text, adding symbols such as checkmarks and x’s, and adding in signatures.

1. To create a copy of a form, locate the desired document within the Adobe Acrobat app. Select the vertical 3 dots that correspond with the document and a box of actions will appear. Select “Duplicate” from the box of actions.

2. After selecting “Duplicate”, another copy of the document will appear with an appended “(1)” to the document’s title. Select the vertical three dots that correspond with the copied document and a box of actions will appear again. Select “Rename” and you will have an opportunity to rename the copy of the document.

3. Tap the name of the document you wish to open and make edits to.  The first page of the document will be displayed. To begin making edits, tap the blue pencil icon in the bottom righthand corner of the document followed by “Fill & Sign”. Several editing options will now appear at the top of the document.

4. The first editing option allows you to add in regular text to the document. You can resize the font and drag the text to its desired location on the document. To “lock” the text in place, tap anywhere on the document and the text will turn from blue to black. To make edits to the text again, tap the text and it will turn blue again to signal changes can now be made.

5. To place a signature, once again ensure the first editing option |Ab is highlighted in blue from the top menu bar. Tap anywhere on the document to place text. On the black bar above the text box, tap the ink pen icon and a signature box will pop up for a signature to be placed in. In this box, ensure the “Save to Device” option is turned off, otherwise the signature will be saved in Adobe for future use. Once a signature has been added to the “Sign Here” line select “Done”.

The signature will then appear on the document in blue text. The signature can be dragged around and placed more precisely. Tapping and dragging double-ended arrow will arrow you to resize the signature. Tapping the trash icon will allow you to remove the signature. Once the signature has been placed where desired, tap anywhere on the document to “lock” it in place and you will see the color of the signature change from blue to black. Tap the signature again to make any needed edits.

  1. When finished adding text and signatures to a document, select the checkmark next to “Fill & Sign” in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. The document will automatically save at this point.

Uploading Forms to ETO

Forms can be uploaded to ETO either by visiting the ETO site directly on the tablet or by transferring the forms to a computer, and then uploading them to ETO from a computer. On the tablet, accessing ETO will work best with Google Chrome as the browser. A shortcut to ETO that opens in chrome has already been placed on the home screen of the device next to the Adobe Acrobat Reader app.

1. Once you have logged into ETO and have the option to upload a document, tap the “Select” button. This will provide you with options where to look on the device for files. Select the “Files” icon.

2. By default, you will be shown a list of recent files. If the document you are looking to upload is not under recent files, you will need to navigate to the IFPS Forms folder. Tap the three lines in the top left-hand corner and a list of locations on the device will open. Select “Galaxy Tab E”.

3. Select “Download” from the next list of folders, followed by “IFPS Forms”. You should now see a list of forms to pick from in this folder that can be uploaded to ETO. Select the form you desire to upload.

You will then see the selected document attached to the ETO report.
