How to set up a non-corporate site to communicate with Kantech Corporate. (KT-400)
1. Plug yourself into same modem into non-static port on the same modem as the KT-400 is connected to.
2. Take jumpers off the top right corner of the KT-400 board (top 2)
3. Take KT-400 ethernet cord plugged into the static port and put into non-static port. (to be on same subnet)
4. Go to gateway IP (SaskTel) to find IP address of Kantech device
5. Hit Device Details on Kantech device
6. Put IP address of Kantech in browser
7. Press EntraPass button
8. Go to EntraPass gateway section
9. IP address is firewall IP (198.169.110.30 currently)
10. Choose TCP
11. Go to IP Configuration
12. Disable DHCP
13. Local IP address is STATIC IP (example 71.17.252.34)
14. Subnet is 255.255.255.0
15. Gateway address is STATIC IP gateway (example is 71.17.252.254)
16. DNS is 71.17.252.254
17. Press Save and immediately move the Kantech ethernet to the STATIC port on the modem
18. Device should connect and immediately try to connect to Kantech Corporate software
Troubleshooting
- Look for yellow communication lights on top left of Kantech system (KT-400)
- If there is a constant blue light blinking it has meant that the system has lost its server configuration
- If there is 3 blinks on the blue light it means that it is connected to the Multi-site gateway
